From 2024 - 2025, I’ve been the art director for BCC- a student led organization at The University of Miami that focuses on spotlighting young black creatives and giving them a platform to showcase their talents. In order to bring a fresh new take to the org, I wanted to tap into the recent wave of nostalgia taking over the youth, and create graphics reminiscent of the early 2010’s. The specific aesthetic I tapped into is called ‘Frutiger Metro’, and much like the music produced around the 2010’s-I wanted to invoke a feeling of freedom, carelessness and an overwhelming urge to dance!
